thought i'd spruce up this old blog...
yes i know this blog seems new but i consider it a continuation of my previous blog, which has been going on for about 3 years--this one is just more representative of ALL the children in our family. anyway, just some thoughts for today--feeling much better after a nasty stomach bug--the kids got a little bit milder, gentler versions, and i suppose mine was the grad finale--that is of course unless todd decides to succumb to its wrath tonight or tomorrow...at any rate, i am no longer circling the drain and hope to return to regular life tomorrow. i missed BIBLE study last week and it threw me all off...i NEED it!!!! so tomorrow it's back to beth moore's "Believing God," which if you've never heard of beth moore or done one of her studies, i highly recommend this one!!! the kids were going stir crazy today--a day without routine or a purpose for us is chaotic and LONG. we watched a month's worth of tv and the twins played with their toys on their breaks from getting into everything they weren't supposed to. bella can acquire a pen and paper and be scribbling all over it faster than you can say , "that was something I was working on!!!!" she also like to color on photographs and herself :) never a dull moment with that child! and the big kids have been cracking me up with their imaginations lately. lily announces that the dog she is playing with is named "pitsy," which i absolutely adore! this follows ty's names like "texas," and "truffle."--where do they come up with this stuff? l and t have been playing together so nicely lately--it warms my heart to hear them. and bella and james have also been playing together, although they usually use their powers for evil :) what one doesn't think of the other one does! as for life in general, i think this break-neck pace that we're on is going to continue a little while longer--atleast until my commitments time out. i am not planning to return to teaching preschool in the fall--a VERY bittersweet decision, but one that is best for our family. i am also getting ready to lead a Deborah's Daughter's group starting in February--it's a year-long accountability and mentoring/BIBLE study group of just 8-10 women--I just finished my year under the tutelage of Joanna Figley and am now so honored to be leading a group myself. i am sure i will write more about that as the year progresses...well, i suppose none of you stopped by to read all this, did you? looking for pix of this kids, eh??? well, you'll get them when i get them :) soon and very soon i will add photos--have to get everyone well and back into our routine first. blessings to all of you and i hope you have a great day, whenever you are reading this!!! cheers!
