day o'play dates

the morning began with bella's ballet class...it was a chilly start--in the 30's--and ty insisted on wearing his soccer uniform from the fall...this is not mutually exclusive to me being a good mom--honest, i made him go outside and stand for a minute to prove how very wrong he was for choosing his ensemble. he came in and announced that he wasn't cold, and seeing as how this wasn't the hill to die on, away we went with a uniformed ty. after ballet was our weekly trip to the mall--play time in the germ pit, lunch at chick fil a, cookies at mrs. fields (lisa and i determined we would bake our own next week--getting a bit pricey), and then we ended up at our house for a play date. dress-up was the jouet du jour and they all took turns being spidermen, shark, dinosaur, etc...only bella was a princesshere are two of the get-ups...these two really are thick as thieves :)

and a note for the photo below...lily told me yesterday that she had a "real" beauty salon in her room...i wasn't sure what that meant, but when she produced a barbie sized doll with a sever haircut, i understood. it was only later, when i found her next victim and she realized she had "forgotten" to confess that she had also sheared her american girl doll...the photo evidence is below
we concluded the day with another play date with hilary, lindsey, and danny--an awesome day was had by all!
