let me start by saying that i have a new friend--she is reliable, sharp, crystal clear, efficient, and she moves quickly...she also came from best buy and set me back a few pennies...so without further ado, i would like to introduce her to you so you can see the world through her eyes. she is a canon rebel t21. she is a lovely upgrade from the nikon i have had for 3 years...but she is not quite the semi-professional one i had coveted :) but i am truly grateful for an upgrade! she shoots 3.7 frames per second (not the 8+ i would love to have--as continuous shooting is is a MUST for capturing kids on the move...but she holds her own and i couldn't be happier with her work of capturing our weekend fun in atlanta.
we visited snow mountain at stone mountain--the kids first experience with snow. the verdict? AWESOME!!!!!they tubed and sledded for HOURS and built snow creatures and forts...
we also rode the summit skyride to the top of stone mountain and they had just as much fun running around...
finally we went back down the mountain and resumed our snow fun...
on sunday we visited the georgia aquarium--again, AWESOME!!! although the lines were looooong and we almost created our own family aquarium since bathrooms were on the inside of the aquarium and tickets were bought on the outside--the ticketing process took about an hour :( but we made it and loved it!!!
hello mr. albino alligator!
we dropped the kids off in the tank and came back a few hours later...jk
waiting to touch a bonnet head shark...
we lunched in the ballroom watching the belugas swim over the this window, which we now assume is their bathroom area...guess why
and then we watched for a long time the ginormous tank filled with humongo rays and WHALE SHARKS!! i am revealing my inner nerd, but they are the largest fish in the world and (my favorite) this aquarium is the only one in the world to house them besides one in asia...so cool
and then here's the sea dragon...another favorite. how clever is GOD to have all these big and small and diverse creatures??
the penguin crawl was super cool and neat to be part of the action
i will post a much more thoughtful post later, but for now i hope you are satisfied with a fw pix to nibble on...cheers!

Fantastic pictures!!! Love how you caught all the action -- inside and out. Snow Mountain is a great first snow experience -- glad the kiddos loved it :)
