i thought i would throw in a few more of my favorite photos from stone mountain...i am still enjoying thinking about out time there--just the six of us, watching them see snow for the first time. a year ago i could not have imagined this was even possible for us. a year ago we still dealt with diapers (we were near the end), pack and plays, strollers and sippy cups. this year, that's all in the rearview mirror.
so much has happened lately and my mind is reeling from it all. first off, my cousin L has breast cancer. she has surgery this next week and i have been praying for her like crazy. she's ten years older than me and i can't even imagine getting that diagnosis in ten years or ever. i am praying for full recovery. thankfully they caught it early on and i think her prognosis is really good...
then, last night as i was checking facebook the daughter of my very good friend lara said to please pray for her mom because she had a colonoscopy yesterday and they found a cancerous tumor. she had surgery today to remove it and praise JESUS it had not perforated the colon wall and they did not detect cancer in any of her other organs. her lymph nodes were "hot" so she may have to have chemotherapy, but i think her prognosis is good as well. i am really wanting to go see her tomorrow and pray with her and over her with some other gals. she is only like 42 and has 5 beautiful children...this photo is one of the last ones with lily's baby tooth up top...you'll see in a second that we yanked that bad boy out last week
i am in love with the colors of these shots... the water and the rocks and their jackets against it all...love love love
a few yanks and out it came!!
lily with her buddies lily and mai before the 2nd grade play...
lily with another friend Callen and her little bro J
and here they are before taking the stage...some beautiful lady bugs!!! they stole the show (actually, Lily stole the show with her awesome delivery of her lines :))
"well things are certainly sweeter now, the smell is much more handle-able. I'm ready to get some food near me and dig in with my mandibles..." --she delivered her lines beautifully :)
i leave you with a final photo of mr. moon...can't believe he and squishy are almost 4...
