mama got a new camera... :)

so i am quite the happy camper this week as my new canon g12 powershot camera arrived and i have had a renewed interest in documenting life around here! the camera is ultimately for china, but i am quite pleased to practice with it for a few months before we go...anyway, here are pix taken with it...of course i think we are capturing a beautiful moment and lily is crossing her eyes...
my gorgeous girl...this will be a "before" shot as i gave her a serious hair cut today...she gave herself one yesterday so i thought i would just "help" things along and give her a new style :)
ahhh, there's the shot!
john and leslee came to visit this weekend so they could run the five points of life marathon (john ran the half, leslee the full) and we all cooked dinner saturday night
here are the kids, todd, and john, waiting for her to finish
and here she comes...that's a smile at the end of 26.2 miles! you go girl!!
still smiling!
the hair cut begins

james came over to check things out
one long piece left....
ta da!!
meanwhile, daddy was playing with the other kiddos on the swings. i love afternoons like this--great weather, smiles and swings...good times
LIJT in the treehouse

i had fun playing with the camera's shutter speeds...

daddy and his big boy--he's almost five!! gasp...

so this was a doozie of a week...i had a migraine for the first half but we all rallied in the end. todd took me out to a great dinner for a late valentine's and we were also honored to go to the FCA "heart of a champion" dinner at the touchdown terrace at UF. back when we were dating we would go to FCA in that same room, so it was a sweet walk down memory lane, and an amazing night. bella is definitely potty trained--absolutely NO accidents!! NONE!!! thank you JESUS!! and since some of you have asked about contributing to our summer in china, you can click here and go to the "give" section and type in our names and then donate. you are certainly under absolutely no obligation--i only wanted to provide the means to do so for those of you who have asked. more than anything we covet your prayers! i wish you all a great week! cheers!
