all right, all right, i'll update my blog... :) thanks for the gentle reminders (stephanie)...actually, that motivated me more than you realize! so here are a billion pictures from lately, but mostly from our trip to disney to celebrate ty's 5th birthday, which is fast approaching! but let me back up a bit...let's see, i got an iphone, which is what is entertaining the kids here while we wait for a table at the flying biscuit

and we have been enjoying the playground in our neighborhood, which is where this next shot was taken

along with these

after haircuts the other day we went in to conestoga's sweet shop on main street and had some ice cream--of course the boys picked the blue...

ok so james cannot be trusted with things like tape or dental floss...case in point

here begins the disney pics...we ate at the T-REX restaurant (ty's choice) and jonathan's family joined us

the "theme" (if you will) was loosely a dinosaur/star wars/lego theme... i won't show you the cupcakes i made... a cake decorator i am not :)

bella was "over" the dinosaurs in a hurry..."too scary" she repeated

oh and if you look close in the following pictures, you may see the black eye ty got while at T-REX from throwing himself face first into one of the fake rocks at our booth...that boy

ty's favorite store on earth

we rode the train at downtown disney

and all the kids but lily and adrian rode the carousel..they pronounced it too babyish

unbeknownst to us, they had erected the lego store on top of what had been the splash area at downtown disney, so after suiting the kids up and wallowing in their disappointment, we ended up at our hotel pool for a swim

i had a few extra hours last week so i built this

mimi and poppy joined us on sunday for some magic kingdom...and this, my friends, was THE FIRST TRIP WITHOUT DIAPERS SINCE 2005!!!!!!

it takes 2 shots to get everyone looking...and that's our life right now :)

sheepy is still a strong presence in lily's world...we almost left her at the hotel and lily remembered as we were leaving...pfeww!!!

ok so what happens next can be chalked up to grandparentry run amuck... "poppy, i want a lollipop," says lily... then, three more small voices chime in, quiet at first, them booming, "POPPY!! I WANT A LOLLIPOP!!" and why would we bother with the little teeny two inch ones?? so amateur! no no, we go big or we go home!

oh happy day

a great weekend to kick off the month long birthday-palooza that is march! cheers!
