you ever have so much to say that you have nothing to say? i have a touch of that right now--mainly because the things i have so much to say about i have already talked about at great length with my mom, todd, and melissa. needless to say, i have had an intensely difficult time with the complex personalities of my children, including their group and individual dynamics :) making it sound nerdy somehow separates me from it enough to perhaps see a little humor? todd and i started the week taking the kids to my folks, then we drove to atlanta for cross-cultural training for a few days. then i drove from atlanta back to my folks' and retrieved the kids, drove home the next day and then on friday we headed for melissa's house in tally. i had grand visions of our time together (delusions?)--and JEN and TIM--I WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO CALL YOU THIS TIME!!!! :) however, as these things seem to go, i spent saturday dealing with four unique and difficult behavioral issues, including (but not limited to) screaming, whining, nastiness, disobedience, defiance, anger (theirs and mine), and other assorted lovely things--in varying intensity and longevity. the main theme, though, was sustained difficulty. and melissa was like my therapist/life coach, as she lovingly listened, processed, discussed, postulated, and just sat in the trench with me--and she supported my decision to cut our time short so i could relocate my cranky children to their home turf to press the reset button.

there were a few calm and sweet moments--sadly, very few, but i captured a handful

oh, and logan was a doll!! a gem!!! thankfully the yuck did not cross over into his realm :)
